Witnesseth that the said George Matthews doth bargain and sell alian and grant unto the said John Keath a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred and sixty eight acres three rods and fourteen poles more or less lying in State of Kentucky and County of Logan being a part of a Military survey of four thousand acres. Beginning at a black gum corner to Daniel Rhoads' survey running from thence North seventy degrees West, three hundred and thirty eight poles to two White Oaks on the Old Military line thence South Twenty degrees West 223 poles to a White Oak, black oak and dogwood thence South seventy degrees East two hundred and eighteen poles to a dogwood and gum thence North Twenty East One hundred and forty seven poles to a Walnut thence South seventy East forty seven poles to a Hickory & stake thence North Twenty degrees east eighty two poles to the beginning. the said Tract or parcel of land to have and to hold with its appertinances to him, the said John Keith his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for the Consideration of two hundred dollars to the said George Mathews to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said George Mathews doth covenant and agree to Warrant and Defend the said Tract or parcel of land to him the said John Keith his Heirs Executors Administrators & assigns against himself his Heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever.
