Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. He died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 19, 1919, in Muhlenburg County, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Birdie May Shanks English. He was a carpenter and construction worker. Survivors include his wife, Regina Simpson English; three sons, Don English of Mississippi, Ernest R. English of Junction City and Tommy English of Gravel Switch; six daughters, Nellie Sallee, Lucy A. Tarkington, Donna Clark, Karen English and Missy Robinson, all of Junction City, and Joyce E. Davis of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Bill English of Centertown; a sister, Ethel Arms of Marbone; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Thomas English Jr., David Clark, Shane West, Cody Robinson, Timmy West, and Earl and Eddie Cox. Honorary pallbearer is Rodney Harris. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.
