John W. Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Moore, of Powderly, died in Burma on March 28, of wounds received in action, according to word received by his parents from the War Department. Pfc Moore, known to his many friends and acquaintances as "Dug," enlisted in the Army twenty-seven months ago. Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers and one sister. (Year not known)
