Death was due to heart trouble. When sixteen years of age he professed faith in Christ and united with the Sharon General Baptist Church of which he was a consistent member til death. He was married to Miss Lillis Ollis James, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T (Tom? page torn) James, on Nov. 6, 1895. To this union were born 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls, one dying in infancy. He leaves surviving him his wife, nine children, three grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters who have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends and other relatives. The funeral services for Mr. Williams were conducted at Sharon Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Sept 8th, by Rev. Hoover. Internment was at Eades cemetery near the house. During his late illness of several weeks, Mr. Williams bore his suffering with Christian fortitude and patience. In his death his church loses a faithful member, his community a loyal (page torn), his wife a devoted husband (rest of page torn).
