Ky I, John Hynes of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, do hereby make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say; 1st, I desire so much of my perishable estate to be sold after my decease as will pay all my just debts and funeral expences. 2nd, after the payment of my debts and funeral expences, I give to my wife Ann Hynes one bed and furniture and all the kitchen furniture and one cow and calf. And I also give her the services of my negroes namely, Judah, Rueben, James, Richard, and Elizabeth until they arrive to the age of thirty years old, including their increase on condition that she feed, clothe, and uses them well. At which age I will that they and all their increase be freed. 3rd, I will that my negro woman named Barbary be freed at my death. 4th, I give to my sons Peter Hynes, Isaac Hynes, John Hynes, Gabriel Hynes, William Hynes and my daughter Elizabeth all my land on the Cumberland River, Wilson County, (Fannyu ?). I also give unto them my negro man Anthony to them and their heirs forever. 5th, All the rest of my estate both real and personal of what nature or kind so ever incer?? wrote and according not herein before particularly disposed of, I desire to be sold and equally divided between my wife Ann Hynes, my son Thomas Hynes and the heirs of my daughter Fanny, to them and ther heirs executor adminstrators and asigns forever. And totally I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Daniel Carson, and Samuel Carson, without being required to give security, to the executor of this my last will and testament by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 26th day of December in the year of our Lord 1827.
