I, Samuel Harp of the County of Muhlenberg and State of Kentucky, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God. Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to principally and first of all ; I give and recomend my soul into the hands of the almighty God who gave it, and my body I recomend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the descrection of my Executors, nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.; First, I will that all my just dues and lawful debts be paid and ; Secondly, I will that my beloved wife Jane have the full and free use of all my goods, and chattles, household furniture and whatsoever else appertaining or in anyway belong to my estate during her natural life and at her death that on equal division of the estate little or such be divided between Jane Hunsaker and Nancy Hunsaker by them and their heirs free to be enjoyed forever. And I do constitute, ordain, and appoint my beloved wife Jane Harp my executrix of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, and disanull all and every other testaments and wills, legacies, bequeaths and executrix by me or otherwise before named , willed, and bequeaths, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of March 1815 Samuel Harp (seal) Signed, sealed, published, pronounced and ordered by the said Samuel Harp as his last will and testament in the presence of who in his presence and in the presence of each other do subscribe our names. I, Samuel Harp of the County of Muhlenberg State of Kentucky do this twenty third day of March 1815 make publish this codicil to my last will and testament in manner following that is to say; I give to all my lawful heirs one dollar and 10 cents each and lastly it is my desire that this my present codocil be annexed to and made a part of my last will and testament to all intents and purpose. In witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of March 1815 Samuel Harp (seal) I give , seal, publish, and declare the above named Nancy Harp as a codocil to be amended to this last will and testament in the presence of William Weir, Nancy Stokes Muhlenberg County Sct. April County Court 1815 The above foregoing will and testament of Samuel Harp dec'd and exhibited unto court and proved by the oaths of Asher Shelton, and William Weir the codocil thereto annexed was proven by Wm.
