Submitted by: Vera Burnham vburnham@worldpath.net Date: October 12, 2000 **************************************************************************** From Muhlenberg County, Kentucky Will Book 2, page 45 I Eppes Littlepage, of Muhlenberg County and State of Kentucky being in good health and of sound mind; but being about starting on an expedition against the enemies of my Country; do think proper to make this my last Will and Testament, as followeth, Viz.: In the first place my Will and desire is that all my just debts be first paid; then I do Will and bequeath to my wife Nancy, an equal half of the Remainder, during her natural life, then to descend to Polly Adams, daughter of George Adams; I do Will and bequeath the other aforesaid half to be equally divided between Benjamin Smith, son of Terrance Smith, and Elizabeth Littlepage, daughter of John Littlepage, hereby revoking and disannulling all other and former Wills and Testaments; I do appoint Charles Morgan and William Bell Esqr. Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of September 1812. Morgan John Tyler I Eppes Littlepage having made an omission in the within mentioned will and testament doth therefore make this addition by way of schedule. My will and desire is that my wife Nancy shall be entitled to our Negro girl Milly, as a part of her half as within mentioned, during her natural life, that then the said Negro girl to be set free. Morgan John Tyler Muhlenberg County S** December County Court 1816 The foregoing last Will and Testament of Epps Littlepage deceased was exhibited into Court and proved by the Oath of John Taylor a subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to be certified and at a County Court held in January in the year 1817 was fully proved by the Oath of Charles Morgan the other subscribing Witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
