I Andrew Parks of Muhlenberg County and State of Kentucky, calling to mind that is appointed for all men once to die. Being infirm in Body but of perfect mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament as follows. First, do submit my body to the earth from whence it came and my soul into the hands of God who gave it me, believing in the Resurrection of the Body through Jesus Christ our Lord. Of what property it has pleased God to bless me with, my body to be buried in a decent Christian like manner and all expences to be paid and also all my just debts. The balance I do will and bequeath as follows. First, to my beloved daughter Sarah Fitzhugh one dollar. To James Hughs one two year old heifer; he being my grandson. And to my beloved son Andrew Parks I will and bequeath all the balance of my property and possessions as follows. That is my horse creatures, cattle, hogs, sheep and all my household and kitchen furniture, all my tools and all my farming utentials and also my land and plantation containing two hundred acres. I do also commend my dear wife Jane to the care and attention of her dear son Andrew, who is hereby appointed and Bound to maintain and support her his Mother decently and tenderly during her life time. Also I do appoint my beloved son Andrew Parks, Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
