The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** 14 June 1796 Deed Nicholas MOORE This indenture made this fourteenth day of June one thousand seven hundred ninety-six between Richard CONNOR and Henrietta his wife, of the county of Nelson and the State of Kentucky of the one part and Nicholas MOORE of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard and Henrietta his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledged they have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents to give grand bargain and sell unto the foresaid Nicholas MOORE a certain tract or parcel of land eighty-one acres and a half twenty-eight perches to include the said MOORES improvement situated lying and being in the county of Nelson and on the head waters of Coxes and Simpson's Creek and bounded as followeth, to wit beginning at a dead ash and white oak northwest corner to an original survey of the said CONNORS thence with a line of the same north fifty-five degrees east one hundred and twenty-one poles to a hickory and gum another of the said survey thence with another line south thirty-five degrees east one hundred poles to a hickory ironwood and honey locust standing in the head of a hollow thence south fifty-five degrees west one hundred and twenty-one poles to a hickory and dogwood in a line of the original thence with the said line north thirty-five degrees west and eight poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the above granted bargained and sold premises with the appurtenances to the aforesaid Nicholas MOORE and to his heirs forever and the said Richard CONNOR and Henrietta, his wife for themselves their heirs and execs do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said MOORE that the said tract of land with the appurtenances unto the said MOORE and to his heirs and assigns ___will forever warrant and defend against themselves and their heirs and the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever in witness whereof the said Richard and Henrietta have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
