(Recorded in the Nelson Co. Processioners Book) Jeremiah TILFORD withdraws 200 acres on the Kentucky River & locates the same on Chaplins Fork of Salt River adj. his entry of 200 acres. 22 Jan 1783 Lincoln Co. KY Court Order Book 1 p. 28 Administration of the estate of Edward BULGER dec'd granted to Abraham JAMES who entered into a bond of 100 pounds with Benjamin LOGAN, Abraham MILLER as sureties. Jeremiah TILFORD, John SMITH, James WOODS and George McAFEE or any three to appraise the estate. 5 June 1787 Virginia Supreme Court, District of Kentucky Order Book A p. 379 Indenture from Jeremiah TILFORD and Sally TILFORD his wife to Nathaniel HARRIS was acknowledged and Sally TILFORD having relinquished her dower rights the same was recorded. 8 Dec 1787 Mercer County KY bond - John LITTLE to Elizabeth McBRIDE with Jeremiah TILFORD as surety. Certification by Jeremiah TILFORD that bride is above age. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas SPEED and (an illegible first name) POPE. 2 Mar 1790 Virginia Supreme Court, District of Kentucky Order Book D p. 243 Indenture from Patrick SHIELDS to David TILFORD was proved to Joseph ROBERTS and Jeremiah TILFORD, witnesses thereto and ordered certified. 19 Mar 1790 Nelson Co. Deed Bk 4 p. 365: Nathaniel HARRIS, wife Susanna to Samuel RIDGWAY 75 pounds 10 shillings on Cedar Creek adj. HARRIS and Jeremiah TELFORD 1 Jun 1790 Mercer County KY bond - Thomas EWING to Margaret TILFORD with David TILFORD as surety. David TILFORD certified his sister was of age. 20 Jul 1790 Lincoln County Court Order Book 3 p. 514 Ordered that the Honorable Samuel McDOWELL, Robert MOSBY and Jesse TILFORD be appointed to settle James DAVIS and Martha McBRIDE's account of their administration of the estate of William McBRIDE dec'd (same page next record) William HAMILTON, James DAVIS and John WILKINSON acknowledged bond to John JONES to idemnify him as surety for Mary BAUGHMAN for her administration of Henry BAUGHMAN's estate. (my note - following this is the appraisal of the estate of Francis McBRIDE - Francis and William McBRIDE had been killed in the Battle of Blue Licks in 1782 and I don't know why it was taking so long to settle the estates) 11 March 1791 Mercer County KY bond - John CULL to Mary TILFORD with David TILFORD as surety. Deed Bk 5 p. 28 Richard SIMMONS, wife Tabitha to Levy SIMMONS 100 pounds for 102 1/2 acres on the waters of Buffalo Run below Pope's Ferry adj. ASBONE and Jeremiah TILFORD. 1794: Mercer County Will Book 1 p. 177 Will of David TILFORD , names Mother, brother Andrew TILFORD. Sisters Peggy Ewing, Polly CULL and Rachel CLOYD. Nephew Samuel TILFORD, son of my brother Samuel. Remaining brothers and sisters. Execs: brother Jeremiah TILFORD and nephew James McCOUN. Written 23 Jul 1794. Consent of David RICE for his daughter 29 Sep 1797. Witnesses were James H. RICE and Ben RICE. 3 Feb 1800 Mercer County KY bond - Jesse LAMME to Jenny TILFORD with James TILFORD as surety.
