She was a lifelong resident of Bardstown, a member of the St. John A.M.E. Zion Church, a member of the Bardstown Senior Citizens Center; co-owner of the Smith's Cafe Restaurant with her husband, the late George W. Robinson and a graduate of Bardstown Training School. She was the daughter of the late Jordon and Mahala Bard Hayes, the last survivor of 11 children. Survivors include her god-daughter, Rita V. Phillips, and her husband, Joe Lee Phillips and their daughters, Candice and Joleen Phillips, all of Louisville; numerous Hayes and Bard relatives. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at 2 p.m. at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church. The Rev. George Woodruff will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
