She was a native of Nelson County, a former employee of Jim Beam Distilling Company in Clermont and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses of Bards- town. She was the daugher of the late Hubert Jack Carey and Eliza Ella St. Clair. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, David Thomas St. Clair; her stepmother, Lilly Carey, a brother Robert Earl St. Clair, a sister, Edna Mae St. Clair and two grandsons. Survivors include her husband, Joseph William Taylor; five daughters, Dixie Lee montgomery of Bardstown, Patricia Ann Obor of Phoenix, Ariz., Thelma Alberta Haines of Louisville, Ella Katherine Meredith of Louisville and Bonnie Gail Rouse of North Carolina; four sons, Joseph William Taylor Jr. of Bardstown, Steven Ray Taylor of South Carolina, Danny Dale Taylor of Bardstown and Richard David Taylor of Bardstown; 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Daisy Frances Pugh of Bardstown, a brother Mack Thomas St Clair, and a half-sister, Etha Mae King. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec 20, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bardstown. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Bardstown.
