Know all men by these Presents that we James Allen & Joshua Carmon are held
and firmly bound unto his Excy Isaac Shelby Esqr Governor of Kentucky in
the penal Sum of fifty pounds current money to which paymt well and truly
to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Exrs & Admors jointly and Severally
firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 9th day of
August 1792   The condition of this obligation is that if there should be
no legal cause to obstruct a Marriage Shortly intended to be Solomnised
between the above bound James Allen & Mary Marcus of Lawful Age daughter
of Christo Marcus then this obligation to be void else to remain in full
