I make this my last will and testament. first I give to my Beloved wife Elizabeth FIGG the Plantation whereon I now live also all my household and kitchen furniture except two feather beds one horse two cows and calves and ten head of hogs (the Stock as named here my wife is to have choice out of all my Stock and the above property is to be my wifes during her natural lifetime or widowhood and at her Death the above property or wht may then emain including the plantation is to be sold by my Executors and the proceeds arising therefrom it to be distributed among my chldren here named in the following manner to wit: to be distribuited equally among my Sons ANDREW, NICHOLAS, ROBERT and LEWIS and my Daughters NANCY, HANNAH, and MILLY. I give to my Daughter ELIZABETH GRAY one dollar. I give my Daughter MARY PORTER one dollar. I give my son BEN FIGG one dollar. The remaining part of my estate to be equally divided amonks all my Children except ELIZABETH GRAY, MARY PORTER and my son BEN FIGG. After my Decease i wish all my Property sold that is not here disposed of by my Executors upon such terms as my Executors may think proper and I appoint WILLIAM MILLER and DANIEL VITTITOW my Executors to this my last will and Testament as wittness my hand this 30th day March 1837. (father of John FIGG, decd.) for many years that they are his neighbors that John Figg decd who died whilst in the Service of the United States (as an ensign) in Capt. FARMER'S Company in the Campaign of New Orleans in the years os 1814 & 1815. That sd John now decd was always reputed to be the Son of sd John FIGG, SENR. and they believe him to be the sd son of Jhn FIGG SENR.
