Will Bk A, P 576, 577 Written: June 22, 1794 Recorded: September 14, 1801 In the name of God amen I Arnal John Greenwell being of sound mind and memory but calling to mind the mortality of my body and the immortality of my soul and that it is appointed form men ___ to died and after death be come to judgment. I do recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it and my body to the earth to be decently buried in a Christian like manner by my executors hereafter named and for what worldly goods God had been pleased to bless me with. I give & bequeath unto my loving wife Mary Greenwell all my Estate both real and personal to be disposed of by her as she and my executors hereafter named may think fit and to be by her enjoyed during her natural life or widowhood and at her death or marriage to Equally divided amongst my six children hereafter names John Greenwell, Henery Greenwell, Ralf Greenwell, Elizabeth Greenwell, Robber Greenwell, Ann Greenwell. NB But my will and desire is that all my honest and just debts to be paid of by my executor hereafter named and also I do_____ my trusty and truly friends Charles Smith and John Finch and my loving wife Mary Greenwell executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me made and declaring this only to be my last will and testament as _____ my hand and seal this 22nd day of June 1794.
