I William Herron of of Nelson State of Kentucky being very and weak of body but of perfect mind a Thanks be given and God be willing to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and ordain my last will and Testament That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul unto the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in Decent Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Power of God and as touching such worldly Estate where with it has pleased God to bless me in this Life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form_______ To my dear and well beloved Wife Agnes I will and bequeath the maintenance of the place whereon I now live as long as she remains in her widowhood and my black Mare and Colt and her bed and bedding of clothes and I do hereby appoint her Executor with my son Samuel To my daughter Elizabeth I will and bequeath that if she for the future behave herself without committing any further Tresspass against her own credit and that of the family that she shall receive equal to the rest of my daughters as will be hereafter mentioned. To my son John I will to him ten bushels of wheat this year and five bushels the year ensuing the Date hereof To my daughter Ann I will my gray mare and what other thing my Executors see cause to spare her of household furniture when she is about to leave them and her boarding and lodging of the place where I now live as long as she remains single To my son Samuel whom I appoint Executor along with his Mother I wish the plantation whereon I now live with all the hereditaments appurtenances and profits thereunto belonging Except the house where in I now live which shall be free for Agness my wife and my other children as long as she remain Single I also will to him my whole personal Estate with all the Profits thereof Except such things as are mentioned in this my Will to my other Heirs he the said Samuel paying to each of my other Heirs the property bequeathed by me to them and providing boarding and lodging for them as long as they shall remain with him and to school such of them as I shall hereafter decide I will my daughters Abigail and Isabel and Rachel to each of them fifteen pounds to be paid in parity as a horse to the value of cows and calves to the amount and their lodging and Boarding free on the Plantation whereon I now live as long as they continue Single and I will and bequeath to my daughters Mary and Margaret and Agnes the sum of fifteen pounds apiece to be paid in Property that is to say one horse to the amount or cow and Calfs to the value their lodging and boarding to be found them on the place whereon I now live as long as they continue Single and to be learned at school at least to read the Scriptures distinctly. I Will and bequeath to my son William my Tract of Land fifty acres on the loading Road from Bairdstown to Bashears Creek whereon Wm Huston now lives and at the end of said Houstons lease that said Place be rented out and said Rent be applied to ye purpose of schooling or other necessaries as my Executors shall think proper for the use of said Wm and that he shall have his Lodging and boarding on the place whereon I now live until he comes of age.
