(Farmer) of the county of Nelson and State of Kentucky being in a very low state of health, but of sound mind and memory and knowing that it is once appointed by God for all men to die, do make this my last will and testament, first I recommend my soul to God, who gave it my body be buried in decent, Christian like manner, at the discretion of my executors, and as lacking such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me within this life, it is my will and desire that I shall be desposed of in the following manner - I hereby appoint my dearly beloved wife Sarah my executrise and my true and trusty friends Jess Crume and Isaac Harrel (?) surveyor my executors - I further appoint my trusty friends Ralph Crume, Bennet Lucas and McClellen surveyors,all of Breckenridge County, to settle my ? and to sell any part or all of the lands I claim in sd county as they think proper and pay themselves for their troubles out of said lands, and it is further my will and desire that the money arrising from the sale of said lands may be by my executors converted to the use of paying my just debts and render the overplus to my beloved wife Sarah and two our dutiful sons Davis and George, likewise my dutiful daughter Susannah - It is further my will and desire that after my beloved wife Sarah hath received her third of my estate, that the remainder be equally divided between my three children Susannah, Davis and George. It is further my will and desire that all the property I hold in Nelson county, after my just debt are paid, remain in the possession of my beloved wife Sarah (unless she sees proper to have it sold) until my sons Davis and George come of age to legally heir an estate. It is further my will and desire that all the property heretofore given my daughter Susanna remain with her and be peacebly possessed by her and her heirs - But is is my will and desire that she shall receive no part of my lands, goods or chattels lying or being in the county of Nelson. It is further my will and desire that after my just debts are all paid the residue of lands goods, and chattels all dues, debts and demands to be equally divided between my beloved wife and sons, and be it known that all former wills and demises are by this made void.
