In the Name of God Amen. I Adam SHALLY of the County of Nelson & Commonwealth 
of Kentucky being Weak in Body but of Sound mind & Calling to mind the 
mortatility of all mankind do make & ordain this my last will & testament 
revoaking thereby all others formerly be me made. Item it is my Desire & I Do 
hereby Direct that all my Just Debts & Funeral Expences be paid out of Estate. 
Item. I give & Bequeath to my loving wife Elizabeth SHALLY all my Whole 
Estate both real & personal for & During her natural life. Item it is my will 
& desire & I do hereby Direct that after he Decd. the sd Estate bequeathed 
her my loving wife shall be Divided between my seven Children & to wit 
Catrine BOYER, Mary METZ, Charlotte ANGELL, Mary PHILIPS, John SHALLY, 
Margaret METZ, Lewis SHALLY & their heirs forever in the following proportion 
that is to say that after the Decd of my loving it is my Will & Desire that 
the aforesd. Estate both real & personal shall be sold by my Executors at 
Public Auction for the best Price that can then be had & one fourth part of 
the amount of sd Sales paid to my loving Son Lewis SHALLY who is one 
Enumerated in the list of my Children after which it is my Will & Desire that 
the Balance of sd Estate Should be Equally Divided between the other Six of 
my loving Children Catherine BOYERS, Mary METZ, Charlotte ANGELL, Mary MAROW, 
John SHALLY & Margaret METZ. Item I Constitue & Appoint my loving Sons John 
SHALLY & Lewis SHALLY my Whole & Sole Executors to this my last Will & 
Testament.
In Testimony Whereof I have herunto Set My hand & Seal the 13th day of August 
1800. his
