S. Ishmael, John H Bowen and Jackson O'Neal, Trustees of the Mint Creek Methodist Episcopal Church, South, parties of the second part. Witnesseth. That said party of the first part in consideration of One dollar in hand paid and the further consideration of a desire to assist in building a House worship, has sold and by these presents does give grant convey and confirm unto said Trustees and their successors as Trustees of said M. E. Church, South. A certain lot of ground lying in Nicholas County Ky on the waters of Mint Creek and immediately on the Road leading from Parks Ferry to Lower Blue Licks, being the lot on which the new frame church building now stands. Fronting 80 feet on said Road and running back 120 feet the same width from the center of said Road. To have and to hold said lot unto said Trustees and their successors so long as said House shall be used for public worship by the M. E. Church South, But when said House ceased to be used for the above purposes then said lot to return to said first party his heirs or assigns. I, John Campbell Clerk of the County Court of County certify that the forgoing Deed was on the 13 day of March 1879 produced to Jno A. Campbell former Clerk of this Court and acknowledged before him by Samuel Ishmael to be his act and deed as per endorsement thereon in the handwriting of said Jno. A. Campbell.
