Donna was born in San Francisco, California, to Samuel & Vera (Walker) Cassity, formerly of Carlisle.       A resident of Reno since 1967, Donna enjoyed stain glass work, gardening and her home. She was especially fond of her cat Jasper.       She is survived by: her parents - Dal & Vera Shirey; a sister - Sammie Hunt; a brother - Larry (& Nancy) Cassity; two step-brothers - Alan (& Donna) and Norm (& Debbie) Shirey; a step-sister - Cookie (& Sam) Uhle; two nieces - Cristeena (& Bob) Benefiel and Raina (& Beau) Harmon; three nephews - Chase & Ryan Cassity and Jason Shirey; five great nieces - Heidi, Caitlyn, Sara & Natalie Benefiel and Shayla Harmon; a great nephew - Matthew Benefiel; and her loving and faithful cat, Jasper.       Donna was loved by many friends and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life was held Tuesday, September 23 at First Baptist Church of Reno.       Memorial Contributions may be made to the Humane Society, directed for cat adoptions.       Arrangements were under the direction of Walton Funeral Home, Reno.
