Otis Coldiron, Jr., 81, of Dorsey Avenue, Carlisle, widower of Dorthy Mae Snapp Coldiron, died Friday, October 10, 2003, at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home. He was born in Bourbon County to the late Otis & Lilly Hodge Coldiron. He was a retired mechanic. He attended the Bible Missionary Church in Millersburg and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors are: a son - Phillip (& Beulah Coldiron, Moorefield; three daughters - Kathy Carpenter of Owingsville, Betsey (& Jerry) Tabor of Moorefield and Bonita (& Bradley) Schanding, Carlisle; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: a son-in-law - Tim Carpenter; two brothers - Edward & Ollie Coldiron; and a sister - Nellie Coldiron Blake Isaacs. Services were conducted Monday, October 13, at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Dorothy Shannon. Burial with military rites followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Grandsons served as casket bearers. Honorary bearers were Gary Blake, Ed Thomas, Dallas Vaughn and employees of Johnson Mathers Health Care. Contributions are suggested to Johnson Mathers Nursing Home Activities Fund. c436001.txt
