Mr Endicott was born near Colville, in Bourbon county, on March 15, 1836. In his earlier life he was a school teacher, following which he engaged in the general merchandise business at Colville. After several years in business there, he moved to Oakland Mills forty eight years ago and opened a general merchandise store, which he conducted until the time of his death. Despite his advanced age, Mr. Endicott was active and was able to attend to his store until a few weeks ago. Sixty-four years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Elizabeth MAFFETT, who died thirty years ago. To this union six children were born. Following the death of his first wife he married Mrs. Lou BLAKE Uncle Resin, as he was familiarly called was one of the best known men of the county, and was loved and honored by all who knew him. For sixty-five years he was a member of the Baptist church and was a faithful attendant at all services when his health permitted. He was a kind, affable gentleman of the old school and his store was the community center of the vicinity. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Hubbard, George, and Mack Endicott, all of the county, one daughter, Mrs. Reuben McCORMICK of Cincinnati, and two brothers, Lafe Endicott of Cynthiana, and Samuel Endicott, of Millersburg. Funeral services were leld at his late home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Joseph CONNELL pastor of the Carlisle Baptist Church, followed by interment in the family lot in the Millersburg cemetery.
