LOUISE KENNEDY WALKER HOAGLAND

Louise Kennedy Walker Hoagland, 97, of Charlotte, North Carolina, widow of
Hobart Walker and wife of Dr. Robert J. Hoagland, died Friday, October 3,
2002. She was a native of Carlisle and daughter of the late Harry &
Elizabeth Kennedy and sister of the late Ruth Kennedy Lambert.
She was educated in Carlisle schools and received a degree from the
University of Kentucky.
Survivors: also include: three daughters - Carol W. Garvin of Carlisle,
Judith W. Scyster of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Emily W. Stakland,
Brighton, Iowa; two stepchildren; five grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Carlisle United Presbyterian Church
Saturday morning, October 18, at 10:00.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nicholas County Historical Society
’s Neal Building Fund, PO Box 222, Carlisle KY 40311, or to the Alexander
Children’s Center, 6220 Thermal Road, Charlotte NC 28211.
Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
