He was born in Nicholas County to the late William Robert & Rhoda Stanfield Lemons. He was a member of the Bedford Acres Christian Church and was a retired truck driver. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son - William (& Glenda) Lemons, Nicholas County; two daughters - Kathy (& Ray) Abner of Paris and Phyllis (& Junior) Lawson, Millersburg; four brothers - Roger Lemons and Jerry Lemons of Cynthiana, Keith Lemons of Somerset and Billy Lemons, Texas; three sisters - Viola Traylor of Paris, Belle Strausbaugh of Cynthiana and Jane Ann Wiggins, Lexington; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Clay Lemons, and a sister, Lou Etta Vickers. Services were conducted Thursday, November 13, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home in Cynthiana with Br. Kevin Strausbaugh officiating. Burial followed in the Wagoner's Chapel Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. [l552001.txt]
