W. Roberts, Sr., died Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Wayne County Hospital. She was born in Bourbon County, daughter of the late James Willard & Lena Hughes Riggs. She attended Bourbon County schools and was a member of the Nazarene Church. She is survived by: two daughters - Betty L. Roberts of Carlisle and Lula Mynear, Monticello; a son - James William (& Estella) Roberts, Jr., Monticello; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Services were conducted Wednesday, November 12, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Bobby Stone. Interment followed in Old Union Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kelly Pennington, James Roberts, Jim Decker, Billy Gilliam, Jimmy Dean Gilliam and Dale Gilliam. Honorary bearers were John Parker, Kenneth Graves, Gordon Gilliam, Benji Decker and Justin Gilliam. [r163002.txt]
