      LENA BARTON WILLIAMS


      Lena Barton Williams, 97, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, November 12,
2003, at the Nicholas County Hospital after a long illness. She was born in
Fleming County to John & Dorotha Blake Barton.
      She is survived by: two sisters - Helen Flora of Carlisle and Charlene
High of Shugarland, Texas; two grandchildren - James H. Williams of
Cynthiana and Chet D. Williams, Singapore; three step grandchildren - Rita
Flwler, Shirley McClure and Jack Lenz; and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by: her husband - James H. Williams; and
three sons - Ronald Williams of Banning, California, Noel L. Williams of
Lexington, and Jim Williams.
      Services were conducted Friday, November 14, at Price Bros. Funeral
Home in Elizaville with burial following in the Elizaville Cemetery.
