According to that research: Roger Robertson was born in 1774. His wife, Catherine "Kitty" Landrum was born 17 Jan 1791 in Maryland. Roger and Catherine were married 14 April 1808. In 1810, Roger Robertson was listed as living in Culpeper Co. VA, according to the 1810 Census of that county, with him were one female under 10, one female between the ages of 16 and 26 and 6 slaves. On 4 June 1811, his in-laws, James and Pina Landrum, sold Roger the land on which they resided on the south side of Thompson's Run, Culpeper Col, VA (Culpeper County, Virginia Deed Book EE, pg 471-473). On 13 May, 1813, Rober and his wife Catherine sold the land on the south side of Thompson's Run, Culpeper Co, VA to William Burton (Culpeper Co., Virginia Deed Book GG, p 11-12.) in October 1813, a party that included James and Pina Landrum and Roger Robertson moved from Culpeper Co., VA to Ohio Co., KY, Roger taking with him his wife Catherine, and his three children: Amanda Malvina (B. Feb 1809), Harriet (B. 17 Mar 1811, and William James (b. 22 Aug 1813). On 5 Sept 1818, Roger Robertson, a carriage maker by trade, died in Ohio Co., KY, leaving his wife, Catherine, and five children, Amanda, Harriet, William, Charles Frederick (B. 8 Dec 1815 and Francis Roger (b. 18 Jun, 1818 in Ohio Co., KY). On 22 Dec 1818, an appraisal of his estate was recorded in Ohio Co., KY. 1 October 1819, Kitty (Landrum) Robertson married John W. Payne (1792-1845) who had been Roger Robertson's blacksmith in the carriage business. They had six children: John W., Jr.; Thomas L.; Andrew; Emily Ann; Margaret B.; and Elizabeth E. Payne. On 16 Nov 1881, Catherine "Kitty" Landrum Robertson Payne died in Breckinridge Co., KY and was buried in Ohio Co., KY on what is now the Muffet farm in the Payne Cemetery where both her husbands had been buried. This cemetery is located on the Larry T. Muffett farm (formerly the Andersson Davison farm) on highway 54 between the intersections of Highway 54 by State Roads 878 and 110. He was a carriage maker. James Landum, father of Kitty, sold land in Culpeper Co, Va. to Rogers Robertson on the south side of Thompson Run in 1810. The US Census of 1810 lists Roger Robertson with wife, baby girl, and 6 slaves. On June 4, 1811 Deed Book EE PP. 471-473, Indicates that Roger Robertson bought land in Culpeper County, Virginia from parents- in- law James and Pina Landrum. In 1813 on May 13 he sold this land. Deed Book GG pp. 11-12. In October 1813, Rogers, Kitty and three children moved to Ohio County, Kentucky, in a party that included his parents in law, James and Pina Watkins. Rogers died in 1818 age 42. His 25 year old wife remarried 8 months later to Rogers' blacksmith, John Payne. Rogers used the nickname Rhoy, Roy, or Leroy.
