AndersonNov. 20, 1907-Jan. 26, 1998ORLEANS -- Gertrude Muriel Anderson, 90, Orleans, died Monday at OrangeCounty Hospital in Paoli.Born in Oldham County, Ky., she was the daughter of Robert Walter andGertrude Mable (Greenwood) Powell. She married William W. Anderson Sept.18, 1926, and he died Aug. 16, 1990.She was a former teacher in Trimble and Oldham counties in Kentucky and hadsubstituted in the Orleans school system. She was a member of OrleansChristian Church, where she had taught Sunday school and was a member ofLost River Daughters of the American Revolution.Surviving are three daughters: Imogene Garrett of Orleans, Glenna Felch ofLexington, Ky. and Joyce Magner of Shreveport, La.; one brother, WalterEarl Powell of Lagrange, Ky.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren andone great-great-granddaughter.She was preceded in death by one grandson.Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home, Orleans,with Brother Tom Bostic and Brother Nelson Lee officiating.
