DEEDS: Donnally to Hodson, 1830 - Owen County, KY Deed of Sale from Donnally to Hodson transcribed from Owen County, Kentucky Deed Book D, page 129 This indenture made this 9th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty between Cornelius Donnally of the county of Owen and state of Kentucky of the one part and John B. Hodson of Franklin County and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth the said Cornelius Donnally for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John B. Hodson his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situated and being in the county of Owen and state aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit: beginning at three small hickory saplins standing on the north side of Clarks branch thence north 158 poles to two beeches and sugartree thence east 185 poles crossing Cedar Creek to three sugar trees thence south 30 poles to two ironwood standing on the bank of Cedar Creek thence down the same 72 west 94 poles to two small sycamores thence across the creek to the mouth of Clarks branch and with the meanders of the same south 10 west 20 poles, south 40 west 25 poles, south 31 west 50 poles, south 49 west 34 poles, south 83 west 23 poles to the beginning containing ninety-eight acres one rood and thirty five poles it being the same more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said John B. Hodson his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever and will forever warrant and defend by these presents.
