By the request of Brother Vanhook Lee (a Member of the Bound ( Beaver?) Creek church It was motioned & seconed that this church Give the Said Brother Lee a Certificate to this Effect ---- We the church of Christ at Richland having had repeated opportuneties of hearing the gospel proclaimed by Brother Samuel V. Lee do hereby certify that in Our opinion his ordination to the ministry would be a good and profitable work. and there being no other business adjourned untill the second Satturday in July B.L. Winn Clerk July 1829 - At a church meeting held at RIchland meeting House on the Second Saturday in July 1829 After Devine Worship the Members present Took there Seats. a door was then opened for the Admition of Members Sister Mary Asbury presented herself to the church and After being Examined was receivd for Baptism Motinoed and Seconed that Some member or Members be appointed to write a letter to the association which shall be presented to the chruch at the next Church Meeting for there inspection & approval (carried) Motioned and Seconed that Brother Gruwell be appointed to Write sd (said) letter (Rejected). Motioned and Seconed that M. Winn the clerk & Brother Macajuh Browning be appointed to write the sd. letter (carried) Motioned and Seconed whether (a) Brother be permitted to read Articles of Faith which he Had drawn up for the government of the church at Richland, unauthorised by the church (Rejected) Brother King made a publick declaration to the church that from this time he withdrew himself from the church and would no longer hold Fellowship with the Church at Richland. Motioned and Seconed for adjournment Untill meeting in course. B .L. Abernathy attest M. Winn clerk August 1829 - At a church Meeting held at Richland Meeting house on the second Saturday in August 1829. After divine Worship the members present took there seats & members of Sister churches were likewise invited to seats with us in there deliberations. The letter read to the association and adopted. Motioned & seconed that Messengers be appointed by private ballot to the Union association (Carried) Brethern Laughlin, Winn, Lemmons, Jacob Forsythe, Forrest & Marcus, E. Browning are accordingly appointed messengers to the association. Motioned and seconed that Brother Silas Kings case of his withdrawal from the church (at his Insistance) be continued untill next church meeting. Motioned and seconed For adjournment untill meeting in course. B.L. Motioned and seconed that as Brother Silas King is not present that his case be continued untill our next church meeting (Carried) Motioned & seconted that we Commune at our next church Meeting (Carried) Brother Williams asked for a Letter of dismission (Granted) Adjourned Untill our Meeting in Course. Winn, Clerk October 1829 - At a Church meeting held at RIchland Meeting House on the Second saturday in October 1829 The members present Took there seats & members of Sister churches were likewise invited to seats & proceeded to business. Motion & seconed that Brother Silas Kings case be posponed untill our next church meeting (agreed) Resolved that whereas Brother Gruwell has resigned the office of Deacon to this church that he no longer be considered in office as such. Resolved that our Communion be postponed untill our next monthly meeting. Adjourned untill meeting in course. B.L. Abernathy Mod Attest M. Winn Clk November 1829 - At a church meeting held at Brother Winns on the Second Saturday in November 1829 the members present took there seats & proceeded to business. also invited members of Sister churches to take seats in consul with them. Motioned and seconted that in the Abscense of Brother Abernathy that Brother William Browning be called to the chair and act as Moderator. (Agreed) Brother Silas Kings case was taken up and after being herd he is again taken in into full fellowship by a unanimous vote of the church. Brother Lewis Wright appointed Deacon in the place of Brother Gruwell resigned. Ordered that Sister Margaret Roalin obtain a letter of dismission at her request. Adjourned Untill Meeting in course. William Browning Mod. Protem attest M. Winn December 1829 - At a church meeting Held at Richland Meeting House the Second Saturday in December 1829 After prayr the members present took there seats also members of Sister churches invited to seats. roceeded to busness then being no business up the church adjourned Untill meeting in course.
