All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html **************************************************************************** DEED: Grizzle Heirs, 1887, Pendleton Co., KY [COMMENT1]Pendleton County Kentucky Clerk of the County Court Deed Book 39, Page #13 1887.Ind This Indenture made and entered into this 2nd day of November 1887, between William Grizzle of Pendleton County, Kentucky of the first part and the heirs of John Grizzle of Pendleton County Kentucky of the second part, Witnesseth, that said party of the first part, in consideration of one dollar to him paid by said John Grizzel, deceased, in his life time, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby bargain sell and convey unto said party of the second part their heirs and assigns, all my right, title and interest in the following Real Estate in Pendleton County, Kentucky; On the waters of the Eastfork of Grassy Creek, and bounded as follows, to wit: Beginning at a sugar tree at the mouth of Bushes Branch, thence up the creek S48 degree N550 chains, thence S56 1/2 W 350chains N87 1/4 W4 1.2 chains to a sugar tree and ash above the mouth of a drain and corner to Dorcus Blackburn thence with her line S17 degree E21.50 chairs to two sugar trees, corner to same, thence S5 degree W 19.25 chains to two sugar trees and dogwood, thence n 43 1/2 E13.70 chains to a red oak on a ridge, thence N60 degree W3.25 chains to two hickories, Foleys corner, thence with his line N41 degree 20' E33.70 chains to a buckeye hickory (blown down) thence S49 degree 52' E30.60 chains to two xxx corner to Foley, thence N23 E4.50 chains to a dogwood and two ironwoods, N18 degree W21.50 chains to a sugar tree, and honey locust on Rushes Branch, thence down said branch N79 degree W23 chains N40 degree W3.60 chains to a white oak thence N 73 1/2 W25.75 chains to the beginning containing 167 acres more or less. There is except out of my two-thirds undivided interest in the above tract of land 86 1/2 heretofore sold by me to W. G. Gramxx. To have and to hold said premises together with the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging into said party of the second part their heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty. In witness whereof the said William Grizzle together with Eliza Grizzle his wife who hereby relinquishes her right to dower and each of whom hereby waive all right to homestead exemption in the premises hereby conveyed have hereunto set their hands the day date first above written.
