Funeral services were held from the Gerth & Baskett Chapel in Memphis, Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 2pm in charge of Rev. G. Lolin Eaten. Burial was in the Memphis cemetery. The body bearers were Ernest Boley, J. Vick Smith, Robert Weaver, Olin Smith, Walter McPherson, and Dennis Boley. He was the son of John Lewis and America Shippe Henry, born January 6, 1876, in Pendleton County, Kentucky. As a small boy, he came to Scotland County with his parents and had been a farmer since that time. He was married to Nancy M. Phillips, March 12, 1902. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Leland Faucets, Memphis, Imogene at home and Rita of Chicago; two grandsons; one brother Noah; and one sister, Mrs. Carl Martin, both of St. Louis. *****************************************************************************
