Watson was born Oct. 2, 1858, in Pendleton County, KY, and passed on at her home at Charleston, Ill., Oct. 28, 1935, following a short illness. Miss Watson was the daughter of Joseph M. and Hannah Colvin Watson and lived the early part of her life in Pendleton county. After her father's death in 1882 she went to Illinois to make her home with her sister, Sarah, and her husband, Dr. P.M. Duvall, and remained there the rest of her life except for a few visits to her Kentucky relatives. Since the Duvall family passed on, she was alone, but spent the last two winters in Kentucky with her sister, Mrs. Mary E. Applegate, and other relatives and was planning to return for another winter. She was one of a large family and is survivied by one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Applegate; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Belle Watson of Covington, Mrs. Lizzie Watson of near Falmouth and Mrs. May Watson of Chicago, Ill. She is also survived by one niece and five nephews in Fort Worth, Texas, Leslie Duvall of Charleston, Ill., Maurice Watson and family of Chicago, Miss Blance Watson of Covington, Miss Hallie Applegate and Mrs. Kirtley B. Woolery of Falmouth, and B. Watson Applegate and wife and Beverly Watson of new Falmouth. She was buried in Pleasant Grove cemetery in Pleasant Grove Township in Illinois. Miss Watson joined the Falmouth Baptist Church in early years and always retained her membership here. She was a loyal church woman and a fine Christian character. *****************************************************************************
