MARRIAGES:  BAKER, John to Susannah GATTON, 1816 - Pendleton Co., KY

John Baker/Susannah Gatton Marriage Bond......28 August 1816

Know all men by these presents that we John Baker and Wilson
Crail are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of
Kentucky in the just and full sum of Fifty-pounds current money
for the payment of which sum well and truly to be made we and
each of us bind ourselves and our heirs  jointly, severally and
firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this
28th day of August 1816. The condition of the above obligation is
such that whereas the Clerk of The County Court of Pendleton
hath this day issued a licence for the marriage of the above John
Baker and Susannah Gatton.

      Now if there shall hereafter appear no lawful cause to
obstruct said marriage and no damage shall accrue by reason of
said Licence being issued then the above obligation to be void -
otherwise to remain in full force.
