To/Deed/Fee Paid. $1.62 1/2 Juder Lewis This Indenture made and entered into this 12th day of November 1825 between Thaddeus Lewis and Polly Lewis his wife, Nathan Lewis and Judy Lewis his wife, John Lewis and Rachel his wife, Joseph Lewis and Sally his wife, William Strong and Patsy his wife, James Henson and Mary his wife, Jesse Boling and Minetrey his wife, Abraham Pennington and Margaret his wife, William Shepherd and Vier his wife, Samuel Lewis and Cuzza his wife, Absalom Lewis and Susanna his wife, Silas Davidson and Betsey his wife, James Lewis and Sally his wife, Andrew Lewis, Isaac Lewis, Sally Lewis inter eim(?) before signed the heirs of James Lewis deceased of the one part and Juder Lewis one of the said heirs of the part all of them of the State of Kentucky and Perry County Witnesseth that for and in consideration of taking care nursing and attending upon Winedray Lewis their mother, wife of the said James Lewis deceased during her widowhood and together with Sally their sister during of her single life and continuance with him the said Juder Lewis, we, for ourselves, our heirs &c do bargain, sell, convey and deliver all of our right title and claims of a certain tract or parcel of land containing by survey 50 acres, the place Lewis deced, lying and being in the County of Perry on Cutshin creek and bounded as followeth: Beginning on the north side of the creek at the lower end of said Lewis improvement on two sugar trees, sycamore tree, thence S 50 E 94 poles to a beech tree thence N 87 E 78 poles to a white oak, thence S 68 E 90 poles to an ash, thence N 24 E 80 poles to a sugar tree, thence N70 E 25 poles to a stake, thence S 28 E 13 poles to a stake, thence N 81 E 105 poles to a stake, thence S 87 W 14 poles to a stake, thence W 9 poles to the beginning. With its appurtanances to have and to hold the said tract and parcel of land with its appurtanances to the said Juder Lewis and his heirs forever free from the claim or claims of any person arising or claiming under us which we do warrant against and forever defend, which we cause seals to be made and our names to be set thereto. I, Jesse Combs, Clerk of the Court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that on the 10th day of April 1826 the within deed was proven before me by the oaths of two of subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of the within named Thaddeus Lewis, Mary Lewis, Nathan Lewis, Judy Lewis, Jesse Boling, Windum Lewis, Absalom Lewis, Susanna Lewis, Samuel Lewis, Cuzza Lewis, Joseph Lewis, Sally Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Isaac Lewis, John Lewis, Rachel Lewis, Sally Lewis, subscribing parties thereto and the aforesaid witnesses say they only verify as to the acknowledgement of the within deed down to a mark, and the letter A and the same is fuly recorded in my office according to law down to the letter A although the rest of the heirs names are subscribed in the within deed there is no proof of their acknowledgement yet taken before me.
