Constable Is Fatally Shot
   Hazard.  Dec. 16 -- Constable Jas. Duff is in a hospital mortally
wounded, according to surgeons.  He was shot when Sheriff J.R. Combs
attempted to take a pistol, which it is said Duff was handling recklessly
from him.
