I recently visited my cousin in Belfry, KY, and we
went on a small graveyard hunt for ancestors.  My
great-grandfather (Allen Smith) has a small family
graveyard up on a hill & across the street from
Rogers Funeral Home...the street just N of the old
school (possibly Park Ave.?) and take the 1st left.
I passed a small Bevin's graveyard on the left
before going around a curve baring left and then up
around another curve baring right.

The following people are buried in the Allen Smith
Cemetery, Belfry, KY:

 Nevada Runyon ~ 10/08/1870 - 09/09/1907  (I believe
Allen's sister

W.A. Runyon ~ 10/09/1862 - 01/09/1912  (I believe
this is Anse, Nevada's husband)

Tempa E. Smith ~ 1937 August 1937  (dau. of Marvin &
Mary Keesee Smith)

Billie Sue Smith ~ 04/19/1936 - 06/09/1936  (dau. of
Marvin & Mary Keesee Smith)

Dewey Sizemore ~ 05/02/1898 - 09/08/1952  WV PFC
Co.A6 WWI Engineers

Lula Sizemore ~ unmarked but visible  (dau. of Allen
& Lenora Varney Smith - b. 11/18/1904 d. 09/29/1946)

Jack Sizemore ~ unmarked but visible  (son of Dewey
& Lula Smith Sizemore - b. 09/12/1924 d. 10/02/1950)

Paul Keith Wagner ~ 1930 - 1931  (son of Edward &
Gladys Smith Wagner - b. 10/02/1930 d. 12/07/1931)

Lenora Smith ~ 08/30/1873 - 05/10/1933  (dau. of
Alex & Louisa Pinson Varney & wife of Allen Smith)

Allen Smith ~ 10/22/1872 - 06/17/1956  (son of John
W. & Jenny Taylor Smith)

Ruby Louise Hall ~ 1924 - 1944  (dau. of Lee & Vada
Smith Hall - b. 10/12/1923 d. 12/09/1944)

Mary Margaret Hall ~ 1927 - 1949  (dau. of Lee &
Vada Smith Hall - b. 05/02/1927 d. 08/08/1949)

Charles Lee Hall ~ 1923 - 1923  (son of Lee & Vada
Smith Hall)

Clayton Hall ~ 1925 - 1925  (son of Lee & Vada Smith
Hall)

Baby Ann Hall ~ 1937 - 1937  (dau. of Lee & Vada
 Smith Hall)


My grandparents were Lee & Vada Smith Hall and
grandma Vada was the 1st child of Allen & Lenora
Varney Smith. 

This 'Smith Cemetery' sits back off the N side of the
street & between the homes of
Michael Gene Hall (of Rogers Funeral Home) and
Freddie Keith McCoy, per my cousin.  

There is a small fenced in graveyard in front of Allen's 
(on the street) which has a few Hatfield's buried there
but I didn't think to get the names while there.  

If there is anyway to find out more information on this
Smith Cemetery, my family would greatly appreciate
it as none of us are sure of exactly who owns that
little piece of land and we would like to make sure
it remains with the Allen Smith heirs.
