GRIFFEY (GRIFFITH)-ESTEP CEMETERY, Pike County, Kentucky

Across the street from Feds Creek, Just past the Steele, KY post office, up the side of the
mountain, is a cemetery. In order to get to it, you have to hike up the side of the hill
through weeds, small trees, etc.

James Keene Dec. 16, 1877-Oct. 13, 1926

Lizzie Keene (wife of James Keene--maiden name: Elizabeth Griffith, daughter of James & Jane
Griffey) Nov. 18, 1877-June 28, 1930

Malinda Estep

J.W. Estep Mar. 13, 1867-Nov. 2, 1933

Many Estep babies and toddlers are buried here including George and J.W. Estep Jr

George S. Estep is also buried here. He served in the Civil War in Co. H, 39th KY Infantry.
George's widow, Jane E. appears on the 1890 Special Veterans Census for Pike County, KY. "Jane
E., widow of Estep, George S., Private, Company H, 39th KY, Mouth Card."
