The cemetery has been completely forgotten over the past years, trees and brush had nearly reclaimed the ground. There are approximately 15 graves within the cemetery, all of which have a headstone. Only two headstones, however, have anything at all on them. One is complete with name and birth/death dates, and the other is simply inscribed "W.P.". Another interesting fact about the cemetery is that it has a very, VERY white marble old statue- a three foot tall angel atop a pedestal inscribed "In memory of Lowe and Maynard Cemetery Believers in Freedom to all." I have done research and it is most likely that three of the graves that have long since fallen in and now support very large poplar trees no doubt belong to the family of Armstrong and Leona Maynard's family. This family was the first to settle in the Brushy Fk. of Johns Creek. The two tombstones that are personalized bear: 1. LURANA LOWE 10-13-1885 / 5-17-1923 2. W.P.
