Charles Hudson Anderson, 94, of Massieville Road, Chillicothe, 
Ohio died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center, 
Chillicothe.

He was born August 12, 1912 in Pike County, Ohio the son of the 
late James Hudson Anderson and Edith L. (Johnson) Anderson.

Surviving are his daughter: Janet L. Tanner and husband Johnnie 
of Chillicothe and five grandchildren: Hazel, Johnnie, Terry and 
Mark Tanner and Alena (Jerry) Smith; great and great great 
grandchildren: Terry (Lindy) Tanner, Tyler Tanner, Jadyn and 
Bryson Smith.

 In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by 
three brothers: Wendell Anderson, Leo Oliver Anderson and 
Leslie Clifton and one sister: Gertrude Lynch.

Charles was retired from the U.S. Army, having served during WWII, 
a retired Nursing Assistant at Chillicothe V.A. Medical Center, a former 
Township Trustee for East Jackson Township, Pike County and a 
member of American Legion Merritt Post 62, Chillicothe.

 Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at Boyer
 Funeral Home, Waverly with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating.  Burial will 
follow in Caldwell Cemetery.  Military graveside services will be 
conducted by the Ross County Firing Squad.

Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 
from noon-2 p.m. on Monday.
