James Albert Branham, 81, of Belcher, died Friday, 
Dec. 1, 2006, at his home.

He was born in Pike County, May 16, 1925, a son 
of the late Taulvee and Mary Rowe Branham.

He was a retired coal miner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna 
Marie Maynard Branham.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Branham and 
Ricky Branham, both of Belcher; one daughter, Mary 
Ann Belcher of Lexington; two sisters, Elmo Adams 
of Shelbiana and Gracie Rowe of Lookout; four grandchildren 
and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in the 
Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Ratliff Jr. and 
Doug Kendrick officiating. Burial followed in the Wilson 
Cemetery, Draffin. Arrangements were under direction 
of Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.
