Dorothy S. Brewer, 63, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, 
at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland.

She was born in Pike County, Sept. 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Leo 
Staton and Mary Ovada Mullins Combs.

She worked for the public school system in the Riverview School District, 
and was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by one half-brother, Harrison Staton.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Brewer; one son, Robert L. Brewer II 
of Riverview, Mich.; one half-brother, Dan Staton of Pikeville; and two half-sisters, 
Elizabeth Ray of Elkhart, Ind., and Jacqueline Mullins of Pikeville.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in the J.W. Call 
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Jenny Staton Family Cemetery, 
Pikeville. Arrangements are under direction of J.W. Call Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday in the chapel.
