1906 - 2006

Dora Hamilton, age 98, resident of Willard, passed away on Monday, 
November 20, 2006 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. She 
was born on May 3, 1908 to the late George and Inis (McCown) Tackett 
and had been a Plymouth and Willard resident most of her life. She 
was a member of the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church in 
East McDowell, KY. 

She is survived by three sons, Andy L. Hamilton of Shiloh, Danny 
Hamilton of Willard, and Pearl Hamilton, Jr. of Edgewater, FL; four 
daughters, Betty Short of St. Petersburg, Florida, Cathryn Ellis of 
Willard, Verbel Martin of Teaberry, KY and Pauline Tackett of 
Pikeville, KY; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 
and one half brother, Azzie Tackett of McDowell, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband, 
Pearl Hamilton, Sr, in 1991; two sons, Glenn Hamilton and Eugene 
Tackett; one grandson; four sisters; and three half brothers.

Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Tuesday, 
November 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 
at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11: 00 AM 
with Elder Clinton Dean Moore and Rev. James Wilson officiating. 
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
