HAVENS, 78, of Belle Center passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in the Mary Rutan Hospital. He was born November 4, 1927 in Pike County, Ohio, the son of Milton and Mary (Hayes) Havens. Okey served our country proudly in the United States Army and retired from Howard Sober as a truck driver. Survivors include his wife of eight and half years, Leta Kay Havens of Belle Center; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Bell of Bellefontaine, Bonnie and Oliver Stover of Rushylvania, Ohio, Karen and Ray Ellis of Quincy, Ohio and Sherrie Butler of Ocola, Florida; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Okey II. and Veronica Havens of East Liberty, Ohio and Charles Havens of Scottsdale, Indiana; four sisters, Dorothy Starr, Carolyn Forsythe, Diana Satchell and Barbara Riggs; two brothers, James and Robert Havens; 18 grandchildren, Clarissa Lefever, John Huston, Jerry Huston, Jeremiah Huston, Stephanie Havens, Melanie Havens, Jason Havens, Mike Davis, Trinity Havens, Veronica Stover, Christina Stover, Josh Butler, Brittany Butler, Rita Butler, Ashley Butler, Dusty Foreman, Scott Foreman and Danielle Foreman; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one brother and the mother of Okey’s children, Edith L. Havens in March of 1994. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the Highland Memorial Gardens, West Liberty, Ohio.
