He was a Carpenter and a member of the Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 26, 1915 the son of the late U.G. and Elan Blankenship Haynes. He is survived by one son, Jeff Haynes of Lexington and four daughters, Priscilla Hughes and her husband, Norman of Rochester, New York, Mary Jones of Summersville, South Carolina, Hilda Blair and her husband, Jolly of Pikeville and Doris Haynes of Lexington. One brother, Lit Haynes of Pikeville and one nephew, Bill Haynes of Pikeville. His companion, Janiv Blackburn of Pikeville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006 in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Ferguson officiating Serving as pallbearers will be, Ronnie Harmon, Tommy Harmon, Jerry Nichols, Eric Sparkman, Bill Haynes and Kurt Haynes. Interment: Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, Kentucky In lieu of flowers the family has requested that in his memory contributions be made to the Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church, P.O.
