Paul was born October 14, 1929 in Pike County, Ohio, the son of the late Pearl and Della Mae (Humphrey) Lambert. Surviving are his wife of almost 26 years, Beverly (Lebkisher-Mann) Lambert; two sons, Gary (Deborah) Lambert of Piketon; Roger (Lynn) Lambert of Latham; step-son Jonathan (Ruth) Mann of Kokomo, Indiana; step-daughter, Dolisa (Lee) Pehl of Prescott, Arizona. Four grandchildren, Joshua Lambert of Piketon; Dane, Whitney and Taylor of Latham. Also surviving are four step-grandchildren, Brianna Fox of Columbus; Emily Mann of Kokomo, Indiana; Colee and Austin Pehl of Prescott Arizona; three brothers, Wayne (Carol) Lambert of Piketon; Ralph (Betty) Lambert of Peebles; Howard (Millie) Lambert of Piketon and five sisters, Irene Hall of Dublin, Betty (Jim) Leeth of Chillicothe, Ruby (Roger) Tackett of Peebles, Faye (Jeff) Spriggs of Peebles, Esther (George) Burkitt of Piketon, seven step-brothers, John, Paul Charles, David, Clarence, Edward and Jerry Hannah; two step-sisters, Mary Anderson and Imogene Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his former wife and mother of his sons, Lorene (Tackett) Lambert of Latham. He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepmother, Georgia (Hannah) Lambert and one brother-in-law, Millard “Deed” Hall. Paul served in the army in 1951 to 1953. He was retired from Proto-Precision Fabricators, Hilliard, Ohio, where he was employed as a sheet metal worker. He worked for the State Highway, worked in construction and as a mechanic for R.J. Mason, Inc.. He and Beverly lived in Hilliard for 20 years before retiring, at which time he built his home, with the help of his sons and brothers, on State Route 124, Piketon, Ohio. He attended the Smith Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union in Latham. Paul was loved and liked by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2006 at New Covenant Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Mick Whitt officiating. Burial will follow at Gardner Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly.
