Avanelle Taylor Maynard, 72 of Ironton passed away Thursday 
(July 20, 2006) at a local nursing center. The Pikeville, Kentucky 
native was born May 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Burley and 
Louise Burchett Taylor. 

Mrs. Maynard was a homemaker, attended schools in Pike County, 
Kentucky and moved to this area in the 1950's. She was also a member 
of Campbell Chapel Church in Ironton. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 
James R. Maynard on September 8, 2005 and a brother, Perry Taylor. 

She is survived by: 
son: Vernon Maynard of Ironton 
son and daughter in law: Steven and Terri Maynard of Ironton 
son: David Lee Maynard of Ironton 
son and daughter in law: John and Angie Maynard of Ironton 
daughter and son in law: Jami and Bill Osborne of Greenville, Illinois 
daughter and son in law: Lisa and Tom Winland of Columbus, Ohio 
a brother: Donnie Taylor of Ironton 
a sister: Pauline Kelley of Ironton 
6 grandchildren 

Funeral service will be Sunday (July 23, 2006) 3:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 
1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio with Pastor Ted Dawson officiating. 
Burial will follow in Ice Creek Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 6-9 PM 
at the funeral home.
