She was born Aug 6, 1930 in Pike County, KY to the late Monroe and Essie DeBoard. She was preceded in death by a brother Titus DeBoard, a grandson Joseph Michael Hatfield, son-in-law Trey Hawkins, and a brother-in-law James F. McCoy. She is survived by one sister Reda (Perry) Taylor; in-laws Leonard and Alma McCoy, Herman and Geraldine McCoy, Sadie McCoy, and Loretta McCoy; her dog "Louie"; four daughters Kathy (Dale) Dotson, Debbie (Shawn) Autry, Marlene Hawkins, and Gina (Jon) Johnson; one son, David McCoy; one granddaughter Kari Nichols; ten grandsons Jason (Meghan) Nichols, Matt Dotson, Blake Johnson, Nick Johnson, Barrett Hawkins, D.J. McCoy, Andrew McCoy, Ben Johnson, Patrick Autry, and Mark McCoy; and two great grandchildren Tyler Nichols and Michael Nichols; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pallbearers will be her ten grandsons with the procession lead by her only granddaughter, Kari Nichols. Eloise McCoy loved her winter home in Lake Wales, FL with her family and friends of Tower Wood. She was a beloved Matriarch, strong, willful, tender and kind and the pillar of her family. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren through her acts of love. She was a past board member and contributor of Sayre School. Also, she was a contributor of Ronald McDonald House. She was a lifelong member of Church of God. Funeral services will be at 2:30pm Tue at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road by Rev. Thomas McCoy. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9pm Mon at the funeral home.
