Obits: Mosser , Draxie Ison Pike County, Kentucky Dec. 2006 Submitted by ; Diane Montgomery Parsons http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00001.html#0000062 ********************************************************************* 1907 - 2006 Draxie Ison Mosser, 98, of Ashland, Ky., went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 8, 2006, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 7, 1907, in Burdine, Ky., a daughter of the late Sam Ison and Alice Keel Ison. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosser was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mosser, and four sisters, Pearl Scott, Martha Lane Elam, Peggy Sullivan and Molly Mae Ison. She was employed for 25 years at C.H. Parsons in the office and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Surviving are a son, Kenneth I. Mosser and his wife, Alice of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Wilma Justice and her husband, William, of Ashland; a sister, Betty Ralston of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren Treca Timberlake of Ashland, Sally Wenning of Ashland, Scott Justice of Katmandu, Nepal, Alice Kilcoyne of Lexington, Ky., and David, Charles, and Michael Mosser, all of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren Sam Kilcoyne, Melinda Sunderland, Travis Timberlake, Sarah Pennington, Julie Wenning, Cassie Wenning and Maiya Justice; four great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Bruce Rous. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 10, 2006, at the funeral home.
