Sylvia Potter Johnson, 97, of Lookout, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, 
at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born in Pike County, Feb. 2, 1909, a daughter of the 
late Keen and Docie Potter.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ashcamp 
Old Regular Baptist Church.

She was preceded by her husband Lonzo Johnson; and one 
daughter, Betty Sue Thacker.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas Johnson of Knoxville, 
Tenn., Frank Justice of Pikeville and Kenis Johnson of Kodak, 
Tenn.; two daughters, Lois Ann Little of Lookout and Gladys Adkins 
of Morrow, Ga.; two brothers, James Potter of Sycamore and Ben 
Potter of Riddle, Ore.; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren 
and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the 
Lucas & Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dallas Ramsey, Richard 
Gibson, Tommy Tackett, Terry Gibson and others officiating. Burial 
will follow in Johnson Memorial Park. Arrangements are under 
direction of Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Special services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
